I'm thinking a lot of people were on TLC before this. Thanks for joining us! <3
I don't know how many of you know but guess who skinned that site? Yep. Me.
Could you guys tell that it's by me? Are there overwhelming similarities?
And what about colors? Light or dark background?
Any questions for me and why I made certain choices?
FIRE AWAY, FIRE AWAY. You can't shoot me down, I promise. I'm titaniummmmm. jk. That was a bad joke. Sorry. >.>

Honestly, had no idea that you did all that work. It looked great. Anyways, a mix between light and dark would be cool. And I'm really glad about the neutral bg and the natural black text.
: ) I like simple stuff.

I agree with Puddle. The neutral background and black text is much easier on the eyes than the other option. At first it took me a while to get used to the brightness after being on TLC for so long but I do love this.

Simplicity and minimalism is definitely my thing. <3
Which is why we kind of clashed on the TLC site. I hated using the cursive fonts. ^^

I also agree with the mix, I do like the light background and it was hard to get use to at first but I do think it nice

Cursive is really bad as far as anything related to important stuff. Its hard to read quickly.
But yeah! Its very nice and comfortable. A little..steril at the moment, but right a detox is good. Perhaps some creamy colors, or maybe something a bit heavier later would be fun. : ) keep them around for some fun holiday stuff.

Wellll, to be honest, we plan on adding a simple background and banner soon. >.>;;
But that's when that happens, which is ASAP. And that's all I know at the moment. Sorry. x.x
If it's relevant, I'm kind of-ish thinking of a pink skin at some point in time.

Everyone gives pink flak. Mehhhh. But it's okay. I'm building up my pink collection irl. I have this weird thing were I won't wear pink except on my nails or in my hair or on shoes. And as pants. Yeah. I wear pink shorts. They're pretty awesome.

Omg. I want pastel plaid shorts. D:
Hmmm. What do you think of my introduction post thing and what I did with the colors there?

I actually liked the dark skins from TLC once I got used to them. The odd fonts were meh, but the black background was nice because it let me use all the grossly bright text colors I couldn't otherwise utilize on a lighter background.
That being said, the lighter skins are a bit easier to adapt to, and I definitely prefer the grey over plain white. Reminds me of my animation days in college.
Btw I, too, abhor pink, and if it's made as a skin without the option to disable it, I will frown deeply during my increasingly infrequent visits to the site. viva la neutral tones!

Ahahaha! Of course there would be an option to choose between skins. It's also one thing I like to say I do when I have skins - I accommodate. Somewhat. Hopefully. >.>

Belated: Your introduction was nice. Though I did find it a bit harder to read since the lovely 90% grey and the about 50% grey did blend a little close together. The highlight of color did well, though it would have worked well with any other neon color. ( as that seems to be the best way to make use of Neon. ) I say, if something like that was the route you were going for, it is a very nice an kind way to do it.
As Astrienne said, an option to turning it off would be great in case it is not for everyone. ( or even make it some sort of special holiday thing for some event or stuff... idk. )

It's certainly simple, organized, and clean. Which, personally, I love. The spades are cute and the color combinations are delightful. If I had a single complaint, it would be the text box background color. I do think it's too dark. Yes it's not black like TLC (which is nice, because black colored text box backgrounds are so tacky and belittle the site. But I digress.) Seriously though, a white sheet with black text is simply classic. It's easy to read and comes off mature and sophisticated. Think Facebook and Gaia and heck any professional website. White is the way to go. Let others pick their crazy text colors or what have you and make a simple design for the website, because in a way, it's the blank canvas that we are all typing on. And I do like my canvases to be white or off white.
However! If white is just too boreing, may I suggest a lighter tone of gray than the current shade? I would be more than content with that. Heck I'm content with how it is right now. It's all good really.
I really think it's smart to have this topic and I pretty much side with whatever wins in the poll, because many times the majority is right. But since we are on the topic of the site itself, I was wondering where we would post profiles? On the rare occasion that I make a character profile I normally like to make a thread especially for that character. I figure I would make it in the ooc or the test threads, but wouldn't it be cool if there was a separate section for profiles? (Maybe I'm alone on this one, but I just wanted to mention it on the off chance anyone else was feeling the same way.)
Thanks for reading my suggestions! It's a great site! I really love it and I hope we only continue to grow bigger from here. <3
