Hades was waiting for an answer from his wife, but was he got was commentary from his brother. He heard the words "as soon as" and it both calmed and angered him at the same time. At least his wife had her memories back, but just how long has she been keeping it a secret? And more importantly, why did she seek refuge telling her father and not him. He was her husband. He deserved to know first! Unless Zeus was the one who gave her the memories back, but still she should have told him.
The God of the underworld fumed as indigo smoke clouded around him, making him far more menacing which frightened a few joggers nearby who suddenly began to sprint. He growled low in his throat no longer listening to the his wife and brother bicker. How could she have betrayed him like this? After everything he had done. Shouldn't she have been at least slightly grateful?
Persephone grabbed hold of his wrists and Hades attention returned to the present and his head stopped buzzing with questions. He silently listened to his pleading wife. Every word calmed him some and when she finally said that she loved him, his anger was gone. Now he was only sad. He sighed when she trailed off and bit her lip. She looked so innocent when she was flustered.
Hades gave in and wrapped his arms around her. Petting her hair and rubbing her back relived to have his wife back. Even if she had been very naughty.
"You should have told me sooner, Persephone. You know exactly how much I hate earth and you completely took advantage of the situation I was in. You got an entire extra season long vacation, you little minx, but now I think it's time we return home and stop this little game, hm? If you're done torturing me with nature walks and human food?"
No way was he going to let on that the last six months had been slightly enjoyable for him as well, but in how quickly he pushed it aside he probably gave away his true feelings on the matter.
"I tire of going home to an empty Underworld everyday while you go off playing with your flowers instead of aiding me with the souls. You're suppose to be my queen remember?"
Hades rose an eye brow at her sternly, but it melted away into a smile and he picked up his wife and twirled her in the air. As soon as he placed her back down, he attacked her face with some very intimate kisses that only a husband would give to his wife. It had been much too long since he had been able to treat her like she was his and he was ready to do it again. Except this time, he'd treat her with respect.
