Once Upon A Time... In a far off kingdom, the Witch, still traumatized and now swearing she will never touch bread ever again, has made a nice little life for herself once more. Her garden grows overflowing once again. Those beans her mother told her not to lose do not go outside anymore. They stay locked inside, but there is another dangerous magic flower. A red, red rose...
Running low on supplies, she had to pass through a part of the Woods that was known to be the kingdom of a very selfish, vain, and judgmental reign. Caught in a storm, she knocked on the large castle doors and asked for shelter, even down in the cellars, or in the barn, for the remainder of the storm. What were the odds the Prince would actually answer the door? She, currently muddled with mud, covered in a tattered shawl, and doing very well for herself to hide her beauty ( for at this time she was beautiful), had the door slammed in her face when she offered one of her prized, magical, and precious roses freely as a gift of good will. ... Guess how well that went over? In less than a second, the castle was cursed and twisted to match the heart of the Prince. The rose he was given and told that it must be kept safe, for when no more petals fell when the rose withered the curse would be permanent.
And so the story of the Beast in the Castle came to being. . . . It was one of her more proud moments when Beauty and Ugly joined hands for the common good. She never really discussed it later. She had a Rapunzel to find.
Many years later, two equally dashing, handsome, charming, and everything anyone has dreamed of princes have decided to seek love. Their parents are less than thrilled, but have kingdoms to run so they tell the boys to be back by Tea and not to get too carried away. And for the love of their gods, don't accept swords from scantily dressed ladies in ponds! We don't want another Camelot Disaster!
And yet, one was at hand. Quietly, somewhere in a far off kingdom on the other side of the woods, a power rose. It had watched as the woods granted wishes, and wanted that power for its own reasons. It watched quietly while characters hopped in and out of the tangle, as giants fell, as people broke and mended, studying this great power. And it learned exactly where it would get what it wanted. Deep in the woods, guarded by fearsome briers to those that wish the Forest Heart ill, the Forest Heart sits in a little cottage, by a lake, in a meadow. The power would have the heart, and have its wish...Power Overwhelming.
Who knows what other things will appear in the woods? The world has expanded, shifted, to another set of large, rolling, and ever changing woods. Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Hanzel and Grettle... and who knows how many countless storybook tale characters will wind up in the same place?
All because of a simple phrase...
'...I wish...'

All the characters listed here are broad. The actual character could be different than what the first thing comes to mind will be. Doubly so in the case of Princes and Witches. Names right now are set for the general characterization. Actual names may differ and are encouraged. Multiple Characters are encouraged.
