Nexux
What is Nexus?
A project that is user driven to create a world that anyone from anywhere can jump right in and role-play in based on the theory that every world seriously made is connected in some way. ( Individual Kingdoms in a grand realm for example.)
How can you help this project?
Creativity. Make up characters, make up small missions, play out the missions, make up NPC's, make up everything and then when it becomes second nature to all involved, sit down and write down a brief description of the world. Notable Heros, Breifs in Legends, as well as Notable Landmarks, Villains, and NPC's that your group/individuals found most memorable. Maybe even some stories and poems. ( I know one of you out there might feel like tackling religions... May the Gods Bless your brain. o . o we'll leave out beer for you on the back stoop like always.)
Goal:
To map out our grand creativity into something we can seriously spin around in a circle, and then point to a region and be able to come up with a quick, simple, creative plot that engages people because they helped make this world that could last for a couple of days and leave everyone satisfied and proud that they helped expanded a world they loved.
================
While I have my own ideas of what would make a fun and exciting world, I understand that not everyone shares them. Which is why I am extending this idea to everyone a part of NR. We are absolutely creative. Terrifyingly creative. HAVE YOU LOOKED AT WHAT WE CAN DO IF WE PUT OUR BRAIN TO IT? We have traumatized our most beloved characters simply for the sake of learning how they tick, even shoving them into something they love to learn when it is too much. WE are terrifyingly curious individuals.
...Now lets take that curiosity and throw it into a 'world'.

moar directory stuff this one too kay? hex: 2A3730 ========================Visualdirectory====================== | MoonFeather Realm "Our Dark Lord is better than yours." |
Moonfeather Realm:
Ruled through duality of a King and Nemesis
King Avius Vi -- Realm King
Lord Bavris Corvison -- Nemesis
Realm is a High Fantasty with magic and religion being the strengths and forfront of the people's minds. Technology level is not quite at flight stage, and primative firearms do not go higher than the seige ballista. Bows, wizard's fire, and the occasional summoned god appear in battles and daily lives.
Religion is intertwined with the leadership, and it extends to both sides of the Realm. Heir's to the thrones are not chosen by blood, but by a concensuss of a congregation of both the spiritual and state leaders based on qualifications set in their dogma. There is a five year isolation period for the Heirs before their inheritance is granted, and the chosen individuals are almost always related distantly. Isolation is given to teach the individuals about their new acended status and responsibilities each of the dualities their gods demand of them. The process is called 'Ascention', and is regarded to be something of a most sacred affairs. Interferrance with these affairs by either side of the Realm is considered a crime against the very Realm and met with ( regretful and painful) internal warfare. The people of the Moonfeather Realm are considered to be a most peaceful kingdom, despite the rumors that they are no more than a group of shapeshifting, silvertounged, superstitious loons by anyone that has visted any length of time in any major city of Moonfeather Realm.
The people of Moonfeather revel in competition of any kind. While some are a bit more passive about their love to compete, some take it to a whole new level. Visitors of the Realm have been surprised when their luggage was faught over because someone was better at carrying them over the jettyway, or hauling stuff up stairs. They took this to mean 'friendly' instead of ' I am better than you and let me show you'. They were quickly reprimanded and told to shut up and keep out of it while a game of Rock-Paper-Scissors was played out. It was a shocking experience.
Little Known Fact: Avius and Barvis are brothers and take 'Sibling Rivalry' to a whole new level. When no one is looking, they secretly plot world domination over a version of the Modern Day 'Risk' and 'Catan' blend. The current game has been played for ten years with neither side gaining any ground. ... No, they aren't using people. They're using miniatures that they both painstakingly paint... Their wives take tea every Sunday and lament about how their husbands are obsessed with a new paint or new toymaker.
For the most part, the realm is a giant forest with meadows. There are no deserts here, as that would take away from the hunter-gatherer lifestyle that errupted around the woodlands of the people. The realm is large, possibly at least 500km total, with many parts uncharted save for those dedicated to the worship of their duality gods that govern the magic of the Moonfeather Forest. It is a highly temperate zone, possibly with smitten parts of Taiga and a dappling of rainforest closer to the rivers. Fur, Lumber, and exotic meat are primeary exports of the realm. Woodsmen, tanners, and blacksmiths are some of the best in the lands, followed closely by cobblers and woodworking craftsmen.
Elven species tend to be extremely common, and the humans that reside there are so used to them that the majority have interbred with the fair folk to the point that it is unusual to see any native without some physical feature of the elves. most common would be the almond shape eyes, elongated ears, taller stature, and vibrant hair colors ranging from green, blue, to even the occasional purple. Skin colors also vary, most common would have a green, or purple hue to the standard caucasian. There is no prejudice against darker tones that have a red, blue, and even purple hue about them, as they see these people as the other side of the duality based on their religion.
The majority of the people are shapeshifters. The most common would be those that shift to local birds, horses, squirrels, and ( of course) wolves. There are some individuals that have features of their animal form in their bipedial form. Again, their duality religion calls this absolutely normal and teaches acceptance of all.
But that doesn't mean they aren't heasitant of outsiders. They do not trust the closed minded people that come from the other realms. In fact, they are incredibly suspicious and put on a front of the Light side of their duality to prevent any hostilities to be taken towards them. This has lead to the outside leaders to dislike those that follow the Dark path, which has lead to many headaches and many, many frustrated drinking sessions by officials and spiritual leaders of Moonfeather.
Outside interference with their rituals is met with a wave of unexpected suppressed anger due to their suspicion of outsiders, and the outsider's tendancies to be ignornat of traditions.

Memorable Quotes from the Twin Leaders;
" There is no such thing as 'Good'. There is no such thing as 'bad'. The only thing that is true is that there is no 'Good' without the 'Bad." --King Avius Vi
" Hope? Heh... Flip a coin, and pray the Twin Gods smile on your wish of 'hope'. " -Dark Lord Barvus Corvisson
" We would form an angry mob for your deeds, but the fields need harvesting so how about we schedule it in for two weeks from next Tuesday? No? Does a Wednesday work better...why are you turning purple? That move was completely legal." -- Barvius to Avius during a friendly game of Polo when they were boys.
