Briar is one of a handful of baristas serving the Witches’ Brew, a coffee shop in the older downtown district tucked away in vinery and cobblestone. She spent a few of her early years in Marseille, France before moving to _________. She attended Catholic school under graduation with Jean Alexander, who would become her best friend. While Jean studied the performative arts, Brair touted herself a wandering soul with no strong calling and instead dabbles in wherever and whatever. However, this is her fancy way of saying that she isn’t sure what she wants to do with herself. It was after she moved out that she met a real witch who opened her eyes the world intertwined in the one she knew. Her participation in Wicca and general self-expression have led to disagreements with her parents. Despite their disbelief, she knows it to be true that there are things in this world beyond the comprehension of those unwilling to accept it.

Physical description: Tall, thick, and powerfully built. Defined and distinctly masculine features that still manage to seem very friendly and approachable. Messy normal length hair and always wearing a warm, friendly smile. Generally wears Hawaiian shirts, khaki pants and flip flops wherever there isn't a dress code.


Personality: Generally kind and warm natured individual. Mellow but upbeat with a love for life, Akana really finds the beauty in most of the simple things life has to offer. Very spiritual and curious to a fault. Despite being a bit ditzy and spaced out at times, he still manages to be a good listener. He is very extroverted and free spirited, his playfulness can be mistaken for being childish.


Powers: Akana's powers are very much on the ritualistic end if the spectrum. Very adept at talking to and invoking spirits to assist him in his casting.


Background: Born and raised in Waimea Hawaii, Akana had a very normal childhood. Loving parents, lots of friends, going to school, just making his way through life.The only key differences lie in how attuned his family was with magic. They were very traditional and took deep pride in their ancient roots, learning to be attuned with the gods, spirits, and other forces that dwell in this world. Furthermore they expanded their knowledge, picking up on magic texts from all over Asia and applying them to their own knowledge. Recently he started attending university on the mainland, going for his masters in exercise science.
